Saadullah Shah is a renowned and representative poet of pakistan.He also writes column ” Baad Numa” for daily Nai baat. He is also Incharge of Adabi Page Daily Nai baat. For a big class of readers and audience, he is a beloved poet.He teaches English at Govt. Islamia College,Civil Lines, Lahore.The greatest attribute of his poetry is his style which is filled to the very brim with life. Great literary writers and poets of our age like Ahmed Nadim Qasmi, Munir Niazi, Dr.Khawaja Muhammad Zakriya, Akhtar Hussain Jaafri and Dr.Salim Akhtar confess his powerful poetry.The writers like Asif Shafi, Muhammad Alam and Tehmina Sardar have written detailed books about his poetry.He has more than 35 books of Urdu, English & Punjabi Poetry to his credit. ” Tumhi Miltay To Acha Tha” , “Ek Kami Si Reh Gaye” ,”Mujhay Kuch Aur Kehna Tha”, “Neelay Phoolon Ki Baarish Mein” , ” Kitni Udaas Shaam Hai”, ” Dil Ko Deep Kiya” & ” Aik Jugnoo He Sahe” are amongst his most famous books. Prof.Saleem Ahmed Siddiqui has translated a collection of his Urdu poems & Ghazals into English.
